What is it?
A program providing free groceries once a month. Groceries include items from each of the four food groups.

Who’s eligible?
Low income individuals, aged 60 or over.

What areas does Bristol serve?
Assonet, Dighton, E. Freetown, Fall River, Norton, Raynham, Somerset, Swansea, Taunton, and Westport.

Is there a cost?
No.

How do I apply?

How do I get my groceries?
When you register, you will be assigned a pick-up site and time. You may have a family member or friend pick up your groceries for you, if necessary.

What are they?
Places where hot, nutritious noon meals are served Monday through Friday. Diabetic meals are available at all sites. Kosher meals are available at one site in Fall River. Reservations are required at least 24 hours in advance.

Who’s eligible?
All individuals aged 60 or older.

Greater Attleboro, Greater Fall River and Greater Taunton.

No. However, a $2.00 donation is requested for each meal.

Meals On Wheels Top of page

What are they?
Hot, nutritious noon meals delivered to the homes of elders who are unable to visit Lunch Centers. Meals are delivered Monday through Friday. Frozen meals are available for use on weekends. Diabetic appropriate meals and kosher meals are also available.

Who’s eligible?
Individuals who are aged 60 or older and are unable to visit a lunch center or to prepare a nutritional meal without assistance.

What areas does Bristol serve?
Greater Attleboro, Greater Fall River and Greater Taunton.

Is there a cost?
No, however a $2.00 donation is requested for each meal.

What are they?
Assessments completed by a nutritionist to help determine the nutritional needs of an elder.

Who’s eligible?
Individuals eligible for meals on wheels or eligible for the home care program. For home care program eligibility guidelines, click here.
