Nutrition Program – Bidder’s Conference

Bristol Elder Services, Inc. (Bristol) will be accepting competitive bid proposals for the Massachusetts Elderly Nutrition Program for the Federal Fiscal period of October 1, 2024, through September 30, 2027.

Bristol invites food service contractors, public institutions, non-profit corporations, and profit-making corporations to bid on a subcontract for the preparation and delivery of approximately:

  • 100 noon-time chilled meals (bulk form)
  • 1,200 chilled pre-packaged meals
  • 5 frozen kosher meals
  • 80 Frozen therapeutic meals

Delivery shall be made to 10 sites within Bristol’s service area.

Other considerations include the ability to prepare and deliver diabetic, renal, pureed, and cardiac meals. Approximately 1,200 contracted frozen meals must be stored and delivered on a weekly basis.

Providers interested in submitting a proposal to Bristol must download the documents required for the proposal here. The deadline for submitting letters of interest is 5 p.m., May 10, 2024. A virtual bidder’s conference for the local program will be held May 14, 2024, at 1 p.m. This will provide vendors an opportunity to ask questions about the bidding process as well as receive assistance with the required documents.
